Any of the following sound familiar?

  • I have been suffering with this condition, on and off, for years and haven’t been able to get relief.

  • I have tried mouth guards/occlusal splints, injectable prescription medicines, NSAIDs and muscle relaxers,

  • Tried Chiropractic, Massage, and Acupuncture,

  • Tried DIY approaches including massage, exercises, and stretches found on social media,

  • I have seen multiple clinicians over the years and been told “everything looks normal” despite ongoing pain,

  • or that I need surgery!

This is what I hear from patients every day. I'm a physical therapist with over thirty years of clinical experience — the last seven-plus focused exclusively on TMJ, TMD, and related conditions.

Welcome to A More Focused, Private Setting Established Specifically for Complex TMJ Cases

Individual, hands-on physical therapy designed exclusively for TMJ and all related disorders

A Physical Therapy Practice, Focused on TMJ… Only

Physical Therapy — Not Dentistry

As a physical therapist, I've treated TMJ for over 30 years. Seven years ago, I made the decision to limit my practice exclusively to TMJ/TMD and related conditions — no splints, no oral appliances, no dental procedures. Just skilled, hands-on physical therapy.

That clinical focus let me refine my treatment techniques over thousands of sessions — I've now performed over 10,000 TMJ-specific treatments.

Along the way, I've moved past many of the old, ineffective TMJ treatment approaches and developed some of today's most effective ones.

If you've already been down the dental route — splints, night guards, oral appliances — and haven't found lasting relief, physical therapy may be the piece that's been missing. Let me help you understand your condition, what actually works, and what doesn't — and guide you toward real TMJ relief.

Who This Practice Is For

This practice is well-suited for individuals who:

  • Experience ongoing jaw pain, tension, clicking, or restricted movement

  • Clench or grind their teeth and feel chronic facial or jaw tightness

  • Have TMJ symptoms that haven't fully resolved with dental treatment, general PT, or chiropractic care

  • Value a focused, hands-on clinical approach

  • Are searching for a clear path forward in addressing TMJ symptoms

  • Are seeking specialized, self-pay TMJ care in NYC

  • Have tried splints, night guards, or oral appliances without lasting relief

This practice may not be ideal for individuals who:

  • Prefer insurance-based or high-volume clinic models

  • Are seeking one-time or relaxation-focused treatment

  • Are looking for a dental or oral-appliance-based solution (splints, night guards, orthodontics)

Conditions Commonly Treated

TMJ disorders often involve a combination of joint mechanics, muscular tension, and cervical (neck) involvement — which is why physical therapy, not dentistry, is often the missing piece. Common conditions treated include:

  • Jaw pain, clicking/popping, fatigue, and locking

  • Jaw deviations or shifting on opening and closing

  • Ear pain, fullness, or ringing

  • Clenching and grinding-related tension

  • Facial and jaw muscle pain/tension and tightness

  • TMJ-related headaches, including tension-type headaches and migraines

  • Neck pain contributing to jaw dysfunction

How Treatment Begins

Step 1

Initial Consultation

I begin with a thorough evaluation of your symptoms, medical history, and the mechanics of your jaw and cervical spine.

From there, I develop a targeted treatment plan based on the specific factors contributing to your TMJ symptoms.

Step 2

Focused Treatment Sessions

Sessions involve hands-on manual therapy — including intraoral releases*, joint mobilizations, myofascial release/massage, and guided rehabilitation exercises — to address the joint mechanics and muscular contributors to your dysfunction.

Every session is one-on-one with me, start to finish.

*Intraoral release work is a specialized manual technique most physical therapists aren't trained in.

Step 3

Ongoing Progress

Your treatment plan evolves based on the nature and duration of your symptoms.

Most patients see meaningful, lasting improvement once the underlying mechanical issues — not just the symptoms — are addressed.

If this approach aligns with what you’re looking for, apply below.

After submitting the form, I will personally review your information and contact you to arrange a brief phone conversation. This allows us to discuss your symptoms and determine whether my physical therapy approach to TMJ care may be appropriate for your situation.

There is no obligation. The goal of the conversation is simply to determine whether we are on the right track before scheduling an in-person evaluation.

Limited consultation availability each week.

“All inquiries are confidential. Your information will only be used to respond to your request.”

Submitting this form does not commit you to anything.

I will reach out to discuss your symptoms, explain how the process works, answer any questions you may have, and help determine the most appropriate next steps. If it appears that this approach may be helpful, we can then schedule an evaluation.

Thank You.
